Step 1: Share Your Pet's Photo

To get started, please share the photo you'd like me to use for your pet's portrait. For the best results, choose a clear, well-lit photo that captures your pet's personality.

For the quickest and most efficient way to secure your commission and send your photo, simply click the 'Secure Your Commission' button below. You'll have the option to upload your photo(s) directly during the deposit payment process. If you prefer to get in touch regarding a commission, please email me: annettecherubin@gmail.com

 

Once your deposit and photo are received, I will review your submission within 48 hours. I will confirm your order and provide feedback on your photo's suitability for a beautiful portrait. If you're unsure which photo would be best, you can upload a few options, and I will be happy to advise you.

 

Option 2: Email Your Photo (for Photo Review)

If you'd like me to review your photo(s) before securing your commission, you can email them to me.

 

Please note that commission slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so choosing Option 1 is the fastest way to reserve your place. After receiving your email, I will get back to you within 48 hours, with my feedback. If you then decide to proceed, you can return to this page to pay your deposit and officially start the commission process.

Step 2: Choose Your Canvas Size (and any special requests)

To give you an idea of pricing, here are my most popular canvas sizes for pet portraits.

 

Please note that these are starting prices for a single pet with a simple background (portrait only). Full body paintings, multiple subjects, and more detailed backgrounds will incur additional costs, which will be discussed with you after I review your photo and specific requests.

  • Small (Most Popular for Cats & Small Dogs): Approximately 12x12 inches - Starting from £950 plus postage & packaging (p&p)

  • Medium (Also Great for Cats & Dogs, Minimum for Horses): Approximately 12x16 inches - Starting from £1,450 plus postage & packaging (p&p)

  • Larger Sizes & Custom Options:  I also offer larger canvas sizes to accommodate your needs. Please indicate your interest in a larger size in the "Special Requests" field below, and I will provide a personalised quote and recommendation after reviewing your photo(s).

Step 3: Secure Your Commission with a £75 Deposit & Share Your Preferences

Once you've chosen your photo, you can secure your commission and reserve a time slot with a non-refundable £75 deposit. The form below allows you to upload your photo(s), indicate your preferred canvas size, and share any initial special requests with me. You can then provide your payment and delivery details on the following check out page.

Step 4: Creating Your Masterpiece

Now it's time for me to bring your pet's photo to life on canvas. The creation process typically takes 4-6 weeks, depending on size and complexity. I will keep you updated on the progress of your painting.

Step 5: Review and Final Payment

Once your portrait is complete, I will send you a digital image for your approval. This is your opportunity to provide any final feedback. Upon your satisfaction, the remaining balance, which will be based on the chosen canvas size and any agreed-upon extras, will be due, I will email you an invoice for the remaining payment once you are 100% satisfied with your portrait.

Step 6: Delivery of Your Treasured Artwork

After the final payment is received, your beautiful, original pet portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped to your address, either locally or internationally.

  • What medium do you use for the portraits?
    I create all pet portraits using high-quality oil paints on canvas, ensuring a rich and lasting piece of art.
  • How long does it take to receive my pet portrait?
    The creation process typically takes 4-6 weeks, from the time your deposit and photo are confirmed. This can change depending on my order load, so I will set expectations from the start. Shipping time within the UK will usually be 3-5 business days, after the final payment is received. International delivery will be subject to the carrier and your location.
  • Do you ship portraits internationally?
    Yes, as long as international delivery is available to your country. I have delivered portraits to many countries!
  • How will my pet portrait be packaged for shipping?
    Your portrait will be carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure it arrives safely.
  • Will I see a proof before the final painting is shipped?
    Yes, I will send you a digital image of the completed portrait for your approval before the final payment and shipping.
  • How much does a pet portrait cost?
    My starting prices are £950 + p&p for a small (approx. 12x12 inches) portrait and £1,450 + p&p for a medium (approx. 12x16 inches) portrait of a single pet with a simple background. Prices for larger sizes, full-body portraits, multiple subjects, and detailed backgrounds will vary. You'll receive a final price confirmation after I review your photo and discuss your specific requests.
  • What is included in the starting price?
    The starting price includes a portrait of one pet on the specified canvas size with a simple background. Postage and packaging are additional.
  • When is the remaining balance due?
    The remaining balance is due after you have approved the digital image of your completed pet portrait and before it is shipped to you.
  • How do I pay the remaining balance?
    I will send you a secure invoice via email for the remaining balance, which can be paid through various payment methods or apps, most commonly used is a standard bank transfer.
  • How does the commission process work?
    Simply upload your pet's photo and indicate your preferred canvas size and any special requests on my order form, along with your £75 deposit. I will then review your submission, confirm your order, and begin creating your unique portrait. I'll keep you updated along the way, and you'll have a chance to review the final artwork before the remaining balance is due.
  • What kind of photos work best for a pet portrait?
    High-resolution photos with good lighting and clear details of your pet's features are ideal. Photos taken at your pet's eye level often produce the most engaging portraits. Feel free to upload a few of your favorites, and I can advise on the most suitable option.
  • Can you paint portraits of more than one pet?
    Yes, I can paint portraits with multiple pets. Please indicate the number of pets in the "Special Requests" section of the order form, and I will discuss the pricing based on the complexity and size required.
  • Can you include backgrounds in the portrait?
    Yes, simple backgrounds are typically included in the starting prices. If you have specific background requests or want a more detailed setting, please describe it in the "Special Requests" section, and I can provide a customised quote.
  • What if I'm unsure about the best photo or size?
    Don't worry! You can upload a few photos, and I will review them and offer my professional opinion on which would translate best into a beautiful portrait. If you're unsure about size, indicate your general preference, and I can discuss options after reviewing your photo.
  • Is the £75 deposit refundable?
    The £75 deposit is non-refundable as it secures my time and initiates the planning stages of your custom artwork.
  • Can I request a specific orientation (landscape or portrait)
    Yes, please indicate your preferred orientation in the "Special Requests" section of the order form, and I will do my best to accommodate it based on the composition of your photo.
